The meeting was organised by the association i-dijaspora within the initiative "i-platform – Diaspora for development of Bosnia and Herzegovina". The main aim of the expert group is to give motivated members of the BiH Diaspora, who possess knowledge, skills, experience and contacts in the sector of economy, the possibility to actively get involved in the work of i-platform and to develop ideas, initiatives and projects within the expert group, that contribute to the economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the first meeting, the concept of expert groups was presented and thematic priorities and the next steps for the work in 2017 were defined. 

After a short presentation of the aims and concept of the expert groups followed by a discussion about possible project ideas and initiatives including all participants, the whole expert group was divided into the following three subgroups:

1. Investment
2. Economic Forum
3. Others suggestions

The main aim of the subgroups was to define concrete goals, to discuss the implementation of these goals and to plan the activities and next steps for 2017.

The next meeting of the whole core group will take place on Saturday, 13th May 2017 in Bern. The work within the subgroups will develop individually and is going to be coordinated by the Desk Office of i-platform in cooperation with the members of the subgroups.
