Swiss Balkan Design Bridge 2026

Summer School in Travnik organized by the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, the i-platforma Association, and the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Sarajevo.

Do you want to work on real projects with students from Switzerland and experience what innovation looks like in practice - the Swiss way?

We are opening applications for 20 young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina to take part in the unique Swiss Balkan Design Bridge 2026 summer school.

What is this program?

This is not a traditional course.

It is a 7-day intensive program focused on real-world challenges, where young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland work together to develop solutions for companies and social projects.

You will work in teams with 20 students from Switzerland, using approaches and methodologies applied in real business and innovation environments.

22 August – 29 August 2026
Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina

What does the program look like?

During the 7-day program, you will:

  • visit companies and projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • work in international teams (Bosnia and Herzegovina + Switzerland)
  • use design thinking methodology to solve real problems
  • develop concrete solutions and ideas
  • present your results directly to companies and partners

The entire process is guided by mentors and industry professionals.

What do you gain?

This is not another seminar you will forget in a week.

Through this program, you gain:
