The second meeting of this year's Diaspora Online Check-in was held

At the second Diaspora Online Check-In meeting, held on March 3, in addition to representatives of the Sector for Emigration of the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH, were present representatives of organizations from emigration: i-platform, BiH Academics from Denmark, representatives of the Association 5 Million Friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BHKC Ljiljan Aalborg and the Board of BiH Teachers from Denmark, as well as representatives of the Mozaik Foundation from BiH.

On behalf of the Ministry, the head of the department, Isma Stanić, addressed the audience, talking about the activities of the Emigration Sector in February 2022, including the preparation of a project proposal for the continuation of the project "Diaspora for Development" with funding from the Swiss Embassy grant funds to the organization BHAAAS for the event "Days of BHAAAS in BiH", reporting on the implemented grant funds of the Ministry to local self-government units in BiH for cooperation with emigrants, and other activities.

Representatives of the organizations shared with those present information about their activities that they are carrying out or plan to carry out in the coming period. Admir Omeragic from the organization of BiH Academics, pointed out that a new board of directors was elected in their organization, and presented an action plan for the current year, which consists of six activities, four of which are in the field of business integration.

Medo Huremović, a member of the BHCC NGO Ljiljan Aalborg, informed those present that this organization is engaged in cultural and business activities, to prepare the establishment of a democratic political platform to support the participation of the diaspora in Denmark in local elections and other activities.

Nikola Burić, Executive Director of the i-platform, mentioned our recent activities, including the celebration of March 1, BiH Independence Day in Geneva, and announced the next activities, including two projects in Zenica, one concerning democratization, and the other sports.

Representatives of the Association "5 Million Friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina", Edo Sabanagic, Biljana Radovic, Ena Basic and Damir Fazlic spoke about the activities of this association, emphasizing its main goal, which is networking and lobbying of all persons who nurture the civilizational values of Bosnia and Herzegovina. information about the association was presented by Ena Bašić.

Ajna Gazibegović, a representative of the Mozaik Foundation from BiH, introduced the participants to the new project implemented by this foundation, which relates to supporting the investment of the diaspora with the co-financing of the Swiss Embassy.

Regular monthly Diaspora Online Check-in meetings will continue every first Thursday of the month, in order to support the networking of organizations in the diaspora and improve cooperation, exchange project ideas, establish partnerships and create conditions for joint projects.
