Matica of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with ETH Zurich's Urban-Think Tank, Baier Bischofberger Architekten and the Historical Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is organising the exhibition "Sarajevo Now: People's Museum" and therefore the first appearance of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Biennale of Architecture in Venice 2016.
The exhibition Sarajevo Now: People's Museum will take place from 28th May till 1st July 2016. It focuses on the symbolism and function of the Historical Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina (founded in 1945 and formerly known as the Museum of the Revolution), which is located in a building with an extremely important architectural and cultural-historical heritage for the city of Sarajevo and the entire cultural space of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
