Great response to the webinar "Possibility of connecting companies from Switzerland and BiH": Participants acquainted with the challenges of potential cooperation

Over 60 participants attended the long-announced webinar on "Possibility of connecting companies from Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina", which was organized in cooperation with the Foreign Trade Chamber in BiH and the i-platform. The webinar, which was organized through the Zoom platform, was led by dr. Elvis Mujagić, co-founder of Innentech GmbH.

This time, Mr. Mujagić shared with the participants of the webinar his experiences regarding the connection of his own company with the Bosnian company bSmart, whose owner is the entrepreneur Almin Hasandić. Indeed, the company Innentech GmbH, based in Switzerland, is an innovative provider of technologies that enable companies to shape sustainable development and growth.

Sustainable growth, but also the possibility of sharing knowledge, experience, as well as an attempt to overcome the established geopolitical prejudices against Bosnians and Herzegovinians are Mujagic's key motives with which he tries to present Bosnia and Herzegovina products in Switzerland and around the world. Thanks to the i-platform, he was able to connect with Mr. Hasandić and achieve future, as it turns out, successful cooperation.

However, although the cooperation with Hasandić was an example of successful cooperation, Mujagić warns of a large number of challenges that potential Swiss and BiH partners face. Particulary, when a connection is established between domestic and foreign representatives of companies, in this case Swiss ones, it is necessary, claims Mujagić, to "arm" oneself with patience.

"Diaspora companies offer flexible prices, but the problem is often seen in the different 'work cultures' of the two countries. Even though Switzerland and Swiss people are conservative society and country that do not offer widespread arms to foreigners right away, do not give up. If you are confident in your products, and at the same time you are ready to fully present them to the Swiss market, do not give up. One unanswered e-mail should not demotivate you. You will need a lot of effort, effort and work to be successful in this country. Therefore,  professional attitude towards the future partner, overcoming language barriers and so many times emphasized persistence will certainly result in positive. Once you become part of the 'Swiss network', you are guaranteed to achieve a loyal partnership," said Mujagic.

Although the domestic wood processing and metal processing sectors are the most represented in the already demanding Swiss market, the representatives of the i-platform work daily on the presentation of domestic start-ups, IT companies and other valuable and required sectors.

So far, successful export power of agricultural branches has been recorded, so domestic raspberries, forest mushrooms and even cheese have found buyers among the Swiss, it was pointed out, among other things, at today's event.

"This one-hour webinar has not established a partnership, but it has established and enabled communication, which is certainly the first step towards success," said the Director of the Education Department of the Foreign Trade Chamber in BiH, Ms. Elma Kovačevic-Bajtal.
