The organisational team of Što te nema? is seeking dedicated and energetic volunteers to help with the Što te nema? monument at Helvetiaplatz on Wednesday, 11th July 2018. Volunteer responsibilities will range from engaging with the public to providing support with behind-the-scenes logistics. While everyone’s contribution makes a difference, a team of committed volunteers is essential to make the Što te nema? monument possible in each new city every year.
Što te nema? or “Why Are You Not Here?” is a nomadic monument unifying people from different cultures by asking them to remember those who were killed during the Srebrenica genocide. By creating a space for healing and coming together, the monument demonstrates that collectively, people have agency to fight against oppression, violence and bigotry. Što te nema? has traveled to 12 different European and US cities since 2006, and this will be the first and only time the monument is traveling to Zurich. The past iteration in Switzerland was organized in Geneva in 2015 with the support of L’Association Solidarité Bosnie Genève and Matica Bosne i Hercegovine Zürich.
