Building a secure future with peace: A new online chat room of the i-diaspora and CPCD

i-diaspora and the Center for the Promotion of Civil Society invite all interested citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also our diaspora to the fourth online chat called "Perspectives of peace activism in times of crisis: helplessness or the only hope for a better tomorrow". The chat will take place on September 15th at 7:00 PM, via the Zoom platform.

This time the participants will have the opportunity to enjoy the lectures of the esteemed dr. Sunčana Laketa, senior researcher at the University of Neuchatel and esteemed Maida Zagorac, project coordinator of the Peacebuilding Network, who will talk about peace activism in BiH and European countries, policies, procedures and ways to protect activists.

However, in addition to the above, a special part of the online chat will be dedicated to the presentation of many examples of activism, but also to discuss networking opportunities with those who advocate for peace, prosperity and security in the diaspora.

The whole event is organized in the official languages (B / H / S) of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

If you are interested in this event, please register for it, via e-mail event [at] idijaspora.ch. Registration for the event is required!

1000 why, how, why the civil sector

The cycle of online chats was created as a result of cooperation between two organizations of the same values and attitudes - one from BiH, and the other from Switzerland. It is an initiative for networking and joint action of civil society organizations from BiH with organizations, individuals, companies and professionals from the diaspora.

The first online chat was held in February, the second in April, the third in June, and by the end of the year we plan to hold two more thematic online chats with organizations from BiH and abroad, thus trying to connect opportunities in different areas (from youth work to agriculture, politics or sports).

In other countries of Europe and the world, Bosnians and Herzegovinians have established themselves in various fields of activity. It is this potential that can certainly contribute to the development of BiH, domestic organizations or individuals.

If you are interested in making a personal contribution to such initiatives, join the i-diaspora network or contact the CPCD representatives directly via e-mail info [at] cpcd.ba.
