As we wrote earlier, as many as 170 participants from over 10 countries have applied for the upcoming eco race to be held at Smetovi, which, for the longest run, starts at 10:00. The 10-kilometer race starts at 11:00, while the shortest route, 2 kilometers, starts at 11:30. However, it is necessary to arrive earlier in front of the monument at Smetovi so that the competitors can pick up the starting package on time.
The starting package can also be picked up in the days before the race, from Thursday to Saturday.
Throughout the race, participants are required to have a mobile phone with a charged battery and active number, start number, and CamelBack and 1 liter of liquid.
Competitors who do not pass one of the checkpoints, use shortcuts, throw trash along the track during the race, do not help competitors in trouble, insult or threaten staff / volunteers, use a means of transport during the race, refuse to check medical staff on the track, and refuse to check mandatory equipment from accredited staff on the track will be disqualified!
Considering the fact that this event will beautify the youngest from the kindergarten "Sindibad", as well as the protégés of the Public Institution "Dom porodica" Zenica, the eco race is even more special due to its inclusive character.
Applications are closed, so we invite all interested persons to join us on Saturday, the day before the race, when we plan cleaning actions, planting, cycling, plogging and, of course, good fun.
The project itself, backed by the i-platform, the Association of Citizens "Azimuth 135", the Association "Modern Escape Europe" and the group "Rivers of Bosnia and Herzegovina - Be a Change" have so far been financially supported by the Turkish company "Cengiz", the City of Zenica, Zenica diasporas who are regular participants in the Zenica Meetup project, as well as some private individuals.
Significant support for the race was given by the Armed Forces of BiH, the Zenica Battalion, as well as the Civil Protection of ZDK.
