From historical success to marginalization
It was a historic moment because, in 1962, Vukotić became the first Oscar winner outside the United States.
Montenegro roots, born in Bileća in 1927, he lived in Zagreb until his death, Vukotić could boast of an impressive biography. He has won over 60 awards around the world which will, in the end, make him the most awarded author from this area. But even that fact will not save him from marginalization towards the very end of his life.
The story of this great and interesting career, his connection with Gagarin and Andrić, and social rejection in his later years arouse great interest.

Esad Bajtal studied, obtained his master's degree and doctorate at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo. In his professional career so far, he has been engaged in teaching and publishing work and editorial work in electronic and print media.
He is the author of the following books: Za (i) protiv tolerancije; Psihologija budističke etike, filozofije i umjetnosti; Filozofski temelji psihologije; Manje od ništa; Al Tempo; Duplo golo; Država na čekanju (two editions); Govor tame; Sevdalinka, alhemija duše; Neofašizam u etno-fraku (two editions); Metanaracija, poetizacija i psihijatrizacija Daytona and Strah od kopanja.
He was not, nor is he today, a member of any political party.
