An open invitation to young representatives at the UN in Switzerland

The Swiss National Youth Council (SAJV), in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is looking for young representatives at the United Nations in Switzerland.

The selected three young people will operate from July 2022 to June 2024, by joining the "Youth Rep" project.

Youth representatives, cared for by diplomats from the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the SAJV coordination team, have the opportunity to participate in international conferences, for example in New York, and to represent Swiss youth abroad, as well as at national events. The participation of three young people in the "Youth Rep" project is a great opportunity to hear the voice of young people at the multilateral level, and to raise awareness of multilateralism in Switzerland.

Conditions for application

If you are between 18 and 25 years old, live in Switzerland, are interested in international challenges, and want to get involved in youth policy by attending conferences, you are ready to raise Swiss awareness of many issues, and you are willing to pass on your knowledge and skills to younger generations, sign up!

Social skills such as openness, dexterity and team spirit are certainly essential.

Also, it is necessary to know English well, to know German, French or Italian very well, and to know at least one of the other two national languages.

Work from home is planned, about 10 hours a week. Representatives of young people will not receive a salary, but they will be reimbursed for certain expenses.

You can send your CV (without photo) no later than April 25 this year, marked "Rekrutierung Youth Rep", to the e-mail abisa.rajasrithar [at] csaj.ch. Interviews with potential candidates will be held on May 5 and 6, 2022.
