Music band "Šuma čovjek" on tour in Bosnia and Herzegovina!

This band is led by Ivica Petrušić, a member of the Board of Directors of i-diaspora, who is originally from Travnik and currently lives in Switzerland. In addition to Petrušić, the band consists of, among others, an Algerian and a Swiss, and they perform their songs in as many as 6 languages. The Bosnian audience will be entertained in July and August, all over the country.

They start their tour of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a performance in Sanski Most, where they will perform on July 29, as part of the "Summer on Sana" Manifestation.

After Krajina, the band "moves" to Herzegovina, more precisely to Mostar, where on July 30 they will entertain the audience at the "Open City Mostar Festival".

July 31 is reserved for the audience in Travnik who will enjoy the "Diaspora Days" event on those days, and the very next day (August 1) the band ends the BiH tour with a performance in Sarajevo, on the occasion of the National Holiday of the Swiss Confederation.

About the band

The name of the band itself arouses curiosity. Their first rehearsals were held in Waltman Strasse, which, in literal translation into BHS languages, means forest man. This very translation seemed appropriate and relevant to the band members.

Their songs combine Balkan music, then polka, jazz and brass, singing mostly about the homeland, identity, memories and battles with oneself.

However, the most interesting detail is the almost imperceptible transition from one language to another, and the highlighting of the present contrast that also describes them. Their songs were written and performed in as many as 6 languages - French, Arabic, BHS languages, then in German, English and Spanish.

Although not all the members speak all the languages mentioned, their love for music leads them in the same direction, and everything they feel while creating it, the audience feels while listening to them.

For 4 singles from the album NO MAN'S LAND (2018) and FATA MORGANA (2022), they shot videos in Central Bosnia, and now they are performing for the first time in the homeland of vocalist and musician Ivica Petrušić, a university assistant professor in Luzern, originally from Guča Gora near Travnik.

Enjoy their sounds, but also the upcoming performances!
