Participants of this year’s MEF were business people from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland, which were looking for quality contacts, as well as representatives of BiH and Swiss institutions.

Opening speeches and presentations were given by:

- Edin Mehic, Networks "Networks and the SECO Entrepreneurship Program"
- HUB 387 Edin Saracevic, HUB 387 "Introduction to HUB387 and the IT sector in Bosnia & Herzegovina"

In the following panel discussion it was pointed out that the IT sector opens new possibilities to create more high value jobs and can reverse “Brain Drain” in Bosnia and Herzegovina. That’s why the IT segment should be established as a key strategic industry for state economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina. However it is necessary to make this sector more popular among the younger generations in order to attract them. Furthermore, there exists a large gap between the sectors of education and economy, which means, that students and graduates often don't dispose of skills, which are required on the labour market in BiH. In order to reduce this gap, startups as HUB387 launched a specific training in the IT sector for young people. In addition it was said that great opportunities stand in mutual cooperation between Diaspora and young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is therefore important to know who our diaspora is and how they can contribute to the development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Within the MEF the bilateral discussions were held between participants where they discussed the possibility of joint cooperation. The goal of this year's Mini Economic Forum was to present the leading Bosnian startup incubators in the IT sector and to work on connecting high quality enterpreneurs and companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina with potential partners from Switzerland.
