i-platform signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the City of Živinice
The mayor of Živinice, Mr. Samir Kamenjaković, and his team wished a warm welcome to Vrškić and Tadić.
By the way, the representatives of this city really understand the importance of expatriate communities, but also their problems. That is why, four years ago, they started the process of networking and establishing communication and cooperation with their citizens who live and work in the diaspora.
"We want to put the City of Živinice in a place equal to the cities of Europe and for that reason we want to find modalities for the promotion of the City in the best possible way. We have been organizing 'Diaspora Days' for the fifth year in a row, and considering that we currently have certain epidemiological measures in force, we will hold this year's Manifestation in a different way. By signing the Memorandum of Cooperation with the i-platform, we get the support of the Swiss Government, and we have the opportunity to implement certain projects, together with our 'Association Most(Bridge)'. These are highly sophisticated projects that should be supported by European countries, and our diaspora can certainly help us in that. I think that we have the best ambassadors in the diaspora who can help us realize important projects ", said, among other things, the mayor of Živinice.
The Memorandum of cooperation with i-plaftorm was signed to the mutual satisfaction, and will significantly complete the moderation between the citizens and expatriates of Živinice, both in Switzerland and in other parts of the world. One of the first joint projects will certainly be the online Meet Up, as part of the fifth "Days of the Diaspora of the City of Živinice".
Živinice Meet Up
"This meeting (Živinice Meet Up) is a proposal of the City Administration of Živinice, which we will, very gladly and in accordance with our capabilities, support despite the new situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic. This first meeting of the Živinice diaspora will be held online, in this case our task will be to organize and 'awaken' the diaspora in Switzerland, but we will certainly try to include emigrants from Germany and Austria. This project will be a joint product of our organizations, 'Association Most (Bridge)' and the City of Živinice ", said Aldin Vrškić, a representative of the i-platform.
In addition to the mentioned actors, the meeting was also attended by Mr. Haris Halilović on behalf of the "Association Most (Bridge)", via a video link, and as he himself pointed out is very satisfied with the established cooperation.
The first "Živinice Meet Up" is scheduled for December 28 this year at 7 pm, and will be the initial meeting of the Živinice Diaspora.
