The Global Diaspora Development Network and the Business center of BiH Diaspora were established with the aim to involve the Bosnian business diaspora to financially support the economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, there is currently no consistent institutional framework for working with BiH diaspora. On a global level, there a few organizations that unify the BH business diaspora. The aim of Global Development Network is to unify BiH business diaspora on a global scale and enable it to become the generator of the economic growth and development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It has been predicted that the financial participation of the diaspora in the form of remittances will be decreasing, so it is necessary to activate their financial resources and convince the BiH diaspora to invest and establish business cooperation with businessmen in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This should became the main objective of a Business center of BiH diaspora.

At the inaugural meeting of the Global Diaspora Development Network and Diaspora Business Center of BiH Diaspora for President of Global Development Network of BH Diaspora and the Executive Director of Business Center of BiH. Diaspora was elected Armin Alijagić. For the president of the Assembly of the Global Development Network was elected Alisa Gekić, and for the President of the Assembly Business Centre BiH. Diaspora Yusuf Arifagic. Edin Dacic was nominated as president of the Supervisory Board of the Global Development Network of BiH Diaspora.
