Campaign "CH + BH Youth 4 Rivers" successfully finalized: Collected 5,000 CHF!
Donations could be paid through the wemakeit platform, and this was ultimately done by 38 people, which was enough to raise the required amount.
Appropriate thank-you notes will be sent to all donors.
About the campaign
Behind the project was the Youth Group ProNatura Jeunes + Nature, located in Neuchâtel, one of the goals of which is to create a lasting partnership with the Center for Youth Education from Travnik.
These motivated Swiss, but also Bosnians and Herzegovinians want to protect rivers, and emphasize their ecological, cultural and political importance. They are also advocating for raising awareness of the excessive construction of hydropower plants on rivers, which is a particular threat to Bosnia and Herzegovina's rivers. They also talk about climate change, the impact of the above on rivers, as well as agriculture and biodiversity.
Their success would be even greater if they formed the Youth Group for Nature Protection in Travnik, which was one of the reasons for launching this crowdfunding campaign.
Also, this donation will enable the realization of exchanges of young people on the route Switzerland - Bosnia and Herzegovina, a visit to domestic rivers as well as cooperation with experts for river protection.
Our friends from Switzerland were already in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the beginning of August, where they got to know its many natural beauties. Just like on other tourists, the rivers of Bosnia and Herzegovina left positive impressions on them.
