In an article published on klix.ba on 30th May 2016 Heinrich Maurer, ambassador of Switzerland in BiH, emphasises along with the great importance of the cooperation between Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina also once again the tremendous potential of the diaspora for the development of BiH:

«It is important to emphasise that the diaspora often expresses the desire to foster the development of BiH. The diaspora annually provides 70 million CHF in remittances to Bosnia and Herzegovina. That money is not just used for consumption, but also for investments.»
