Kladanj Meet Up

The focus of the 9th meetup was on sports, children and youth

The Kladanj diaspora did not miss the opportunity for another online gathering, which was held on June 10th.

Working group "Sport, children, youth"

However, before the MeetUp itself, a hardworking representative of the i-diaspora, Dalida Karabdić, on May 30, gathered numerous, already established, participants in a special meeting, who showed interest in sports and children's activities. In this regard, this working group was happy to take their free time and discuss the implemented and planned activities. They are especially satisfied with the fact that, with the help of the i-diaspora, the Municipality and good people, two activities will soon be realized, as follows:

  • two-day outdoor tennis, and
  • dance workshops for the youngest, which will focus on Hip hop and Rock 'n' roll music.

It is important to emphasize that the installation of the last of the four planned baskets for young people from Kladanj is underway, which will certainly facilitate their recreation and beautify socializing. Let us remind you, young people from the city itself, as well as from Stupar and Brateljević, thanks to the initiative of Ms. Sakiba Hotović, who is a regular participant in MeetUp, were given the opportunity to play basketball more actively and with better quality.

This month, as well as the previous one, our diaspora took care of young football hopes, so they gave twelve soccer balls to the youngest football players of FC "Konjuh".

It should be noted that many emigrants, originally from Kladanj, as well as members of the i-diaspora are active helpers in organizing a street race called "Race for Health Kladanj 2021.".

9th Kladanj MeetUp

This time we recorded a significantly larger number of participants who, thanks to the Butterfly Check-In principle, expressed their opinions and impressions about previous meetings, realized projects and future plans.

A new meeting has also been scheduled, the jubilee 10th, at which we will discuss planned summer activities and potential "live" meetings with our diaspora. So, in addition to the above, on July 1, we will evaluate the work done so far, but also its impact on the local community itself.
