Kladanj Meet Up

The eighth "Kladanj Meet Up" was held

The previous week was very active in Kladanj, but also among Kladanj emigrants. A lot of work, effort and good ideas were presented, both at the meet up and at the gathering of the working group gathered around the Association "Women to Women".

Working group meeting

Last Monday, more precisely on May 3, a meeting of the working group was organized, at which the Association "Woman to Woman" was discussed. A dozen participants, despite numerous daily obligations, took their free time and, in coordination with the representatives of the Association and the representative of the i-platform, Dalida Karabdić, discussed the implemented activities related to the humanitarian action called "Daffodil Days", then World health day, as well as Earth Day.

The adaptation of the Association's space is also one of the key points discussed on May 3. However, in addition to directing their forces in this direction, the members of the Association are also working hard on the preparation of Eid gift packages, which will be distributed with the help of the Islamic Community of Kladanj.

The participants of this meeting also received additional information about the launch of the "Green space" project, but also about the preparation of educational workshops that will be realized in the summer months.

8th Kladanj Meet Up

A slightly smaller number of participants responded to the May edition of the meet up, which was to be expected given the current Ramadan activities and obligations of individual participants. Certainly, the 9th Kladanj Meet Up will surely gather many more participants.

However, although this time it was a "shortened" version of the meeting, it certainly did not prevent the project coordinator, Ms. Karabdić, from introducing the participants to the projects currently under development, but also from the fact that we are already facing the final phase of setting up baskets for young people from Kladanj. Let us remind you, young people from the city itself, as well as from Stupar and Brateljević, thanks to this initiative, will be able to "measure their strength" in sports. However, apart from basketball, the emigrants from Kladanj also support the youth who prefer other sports, so they donated twelve soccer balls to the youngest football players of FC "Kladanj", and thus supported the young hopes, but also the club itself.

Also, a lot of time is dedicated to the last phase of the "Green Corner" project, which is being implemented with the support of Nijaz Gogić, Edo Berković and the representative of the i-platform, Dalida Karabdić. Then, they discussed cooperation with the local community Kladanj regarding active communities through the project of the Tuzla Community Foundation, the improvement of the action plan, and projects that are correlated with the Association "Women to Women" and the Fire Department, and which were finally presented and handed over to Tuzla Canton Tourist Board and the Embassy of Japan in BiH.

This time, the organization of a summer gathering at the Bebrava picnic area was proposed, where it would be possible to meet children whose parents are originally from Kladanj, through various activities in their native language.

All of the above will be discussed in more detail at the beginning of next month.
