Both new and old participants actively participated in the discussion and thus expressed great support, both to the project and the local community. The fact that, from month to month, new people are joining us is an indicator of continuous support "from outside", which is the primary goal of local meetups.
On this occasion, the participants were presented with a "pitchbook" in which, in addition to general information about the work of the i-platform, last year's projects in the Municipality of Kladanj were presented, over 20 of them!
Also, in addition to the above, the participants of the meetup had the opportunity to get acquainted with the daily activities of the i-platform team from Kladanj, get an insight into the annual activity plan, based on which they could express their opinion and offer suggestions for further steps. The goal of this cooperation is the active involvement of our emigrants in the daily activities of our team, and the joint realization of the idea.
Furthermore, the participants got acquainted with the literary works of their fellow citizens, living from Europe to the United States, who, in their works, referred to the most interesting personal events and adventures from Kladanj. All this is summarized in the presentation "Bazaar with the scent of linden".
There was also talk about the successes achieved by the Kladanj Association "Woman - Woman", which recently launched a set of products, five of which are in the process of branding. The formation of a cooperative and the placement of products on the market of the European Union member states is certainly imperative. One of the last activities was the distribution of gift packages to the citizens of Kladanj, on the occasion of the International Women's Day, which was financially supported by the residents of Kladanj, currently living in the diaspora.
All in all, the team from Kladanj faces many challenges. For now, for sure, the organization of the "Race for Health", entrepreneurship workshops, cleaning actions are planned. A meeting for the Kladanj diaspora living in the US and Canada will be held on March 19th!
