Lana Bastašić was born in Zagreb in 1986. She writes novels, children's books, stories and poetry. Her grandiose debut novel "Fang den Hasen", about the friendship of two young women and their journey from Mostar to Vienna, has been translated into eighteen languages and won the 2020 European Literature Prize.

She has also published three collections of short stories, one collection of poems and one collection of short stories for children, as well as a recent diary of her months-long stay as a writer in Zurich (Red Suitcase, 2021).

She organizes a literary evening for all his admirers in Bern, at the Bibliothek Münstergasse, Veranstaltungssaal, Münstergasse 61, 1. UG, and admission will be free.
