Forum of the BiH Diaspora in Switzerland
The Forum of the BiH Diaspora is organised by the association i-dijaspora in cooperation with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
Main objectives of the forum are as follows:
- Official launch of the i-platform and presentation of its further development;
- To enable the exchange of ideas, projects and contacts between organisations and institutions from Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which are active in the sectors “Migration, diaspora and development”.
- Project Fair: to link and promote existing projects, initiatives, project proposals and ideas, which contribute to the development of Bosnia and Herzegovina on different levels. The goal of the project fair is to give all participants the possibility to exchange information, get in contact with each other and create synergies.
- Present selected “Success Stories” of the BiH diaspora in Switzerland and based on these examples discuss questions and “Lessons Learnt” as for example:
- What kind of bridge-building function has the diaspora between Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina?
- How can the diaspora from Switzerland contribute to the economic development and create new job opportunities in BiH?
- Which frame conditions are necessary to become active in the economic sector in BiH, e.g. to start and run a business successfully?
- Which institutions, offers and resources are already available to the diaspora?
- How can the diaspora get involved in the sector of education through the exchange of knowledge?
Participants: We expect more than 100 active individuals and experts from the relevant sectors and representatives of non-governmental organisations and public institutions from Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Registration for the Forum: Due to the great interest and limited number of participants, please confirm your participation to anita.vasic [at] idijaspora.ch until 11th November 2016, while also indicating from which organisation you are coming (if applicable). After registration, approval of the participation will be delivered by e-mail.
Application for the project fair: We invite all interested organisations, institutions, associations and individuals to submit their projects, initiatives, project ideas and proposals in order to promote and discuss them with other participants of the BiH diaspora, but also to get in contact and create synergies with individuals, relevant organisations and institutions from Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Please complete the attached form and return it by e-mail until 11th November 2016 to: anita.vasic [at] idijaspora.ch .
